Facts about carers
- There are 5.7 million carers in the UK
- One million look after someone for 50+ hours per week
- There are about 50,000 under 18 year old carers
- Carers are unpaid, may be juggling work, or leave their job to care full-time
- Full-time carers get less than £50 per week Carers Allowance
